You may have many questions when you start using essential oils. One of the main questions is how these magnificent oils are made?

The oils are obtained from their respective plants in several different ways. Today we’re going to talk about some of the most popular ways to extract these wonderful oils from their plants!

Essential oils are produced during the distillation process.

The distillation of essential oils is done in several ways: steam distillation, distilled water, combination of both and a cold pressing technique which is utilized in citrus oils.

Making Essential Oils with Steam Distillation

This is the form that is mostly used.

Many companies usually use this approach because it’s pretty easy. Plants like lavender and root plants, such as sandalwood, can be the herbs used in this method of distillation.

It takes some time, but it can eventually make the final product more efficient.

Making Essential Oils with Water Distillation

This is how it feels. The plant material is in close contact with water, and when the water is warm the plant oils remain in the water.

Sometimes, flowers like roses and the like are the plant types used in the process.  The only problem is that the plants are able to clump and that the steam can not get so well into each plant.

The water cycle is a pleasant way to distillate your own plants, but you can not take a great steel tank to steam your plants. Usually essential oils for anxiety are prepared in the laboratory.

Making Essential Oils with Water and Steam

You can also use water and steam distillation to create your essential oils! When this process is used, the plants are put in some water and the steam from the soil and the whole crop is drawn up. This is known as indirect vapour.

This approach will generate a strong end product. It needs a little more time and look, but it can be a good alternative. You can use this kind of distillation first when you want to make the essential oil and then use the residue to make the herb or herbs that you distilled with floral liquid. You can make a lovely birthday or holiday gift by using the remains of floral air.

Cold Pressed Distillation

This process is also sometimes known as speech and is widely used to distill lemon and mandarin citrus oils.

The oil has been pressed and then symphonized to create the final product using traditional methods. Today, this kind of extraction is used primarily for the rind and the oil to be pruned and punctured. It is regarded as a pickle. This could be a great way if you want to try to distill your own oils again.

Different Grades of Essential Oils:

There are different grades of essential oils.

Grade A: Considered essential oil of therapeutic value. The FDA does not recognize this term, but is used to characterize oils that are distilled with steam right from the seed. These are known to be the purest oil you can buy and used in a wide range of ways.

Grade B: Essential Oil Food Standard. This class is not clear, however, from additives and can be used in foods.

Grade C: We see fragrance and makeup similar to oils.

Grade D: It’s just floral liquid, with little or no petroleum in it.

In the circles of flavours and other practicers of essential oils, these statements have again not been confirmed by any regulatory body. Generally essential oils are also called as stress relief oil.
