Dr Naresh Trehan is an Indian Cardio-thoracic as well as cardiovascular surgeon. After completing his education he returned to India and in 1988 he established Escorts Heart Institute and Research Center (EHIRC), Okhla road, New Delhi. Later, in 2009 he founded Medanta – The Medicity one of the largest multi-specialty hospitals at Gurgaon in NCR of India. Presently, he is the chairman and managing director (MD) at Medanta Heart Institute. He has five decades of thriving experience in the field of cardio-thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. He has received awards from the Government of India for his remarkable contribution and services to the medicine community. Since 1991 he has worked as personal surgeon to the President of India.

A brief About Family:
Dr. Naresh Trehan was born and brought up in Batala, Punjab. Dr. Trehan was born left handed but due to conventional thinking he was forced to write with right hand and eventually because of pressure on him he became right handed individual. He always got inspiration from his parents who were doctors too. Dr. Trehan’s mother was a Gynaecologist and his father was an ENT Specialist. In september 1969, he was married to Madhu Trehan, who is a professional journalist and writer. In the same year the couple moved to the USA. The couple are blessed with two childrens and both are daughters. Dr. Naresh Trehan is serving the nation selflessly and living happily with his family.
