1. Unintended pregnancy
It’s recommended to prepare ahead of time for conception since there are more chances that a baby will be born healthy and its future parents won’t run into sudden financial and other problems.
Neither the calendar method nor the withdrawal method is an effective way to avoid unplanned pregnancy. An alternative to a condom may be an intrauterine device or birth control pills but they won’t protect from infections.

6. HIV and AIDS
Over time, HIV kills the human immune system and turns into the syndrome of acquired human immunodeficiency (AIDS). 7. Brain and internal organ damage
Syphilis is one of the most dangerous genital infections. It can be treated with a short course of antibiotics but if it’s left untreated, it will become chronic.
The incubation period of the disease is up to 6 weeks. Early symptoms of syphilis are:
- small painless sores on the genitals and near the anus
- mild red rash on the palms
- white spots in the mouth
- fatigue
- slight fever
- swollen lymph nodes
After some time, the early symptoms will disappear altogether. But syphilis becomes chronic and gradually destroys bones, nervous system, brain, and spinal cord, as well as internal organs. The consequences of this disease can be extremely dangerous and irreversible.
